Warming up the hamstrings allows us to not only wake up the hamstrings but we also get a light, active stretch in the quads at the same time. Keeping our thigh muscles healthy helps us keep all the areas above and below them healthy as well. Remember that everything is connected!

Standing nice and tall, start shifting your weight side to side and alternate lifting your heels up towards your butt. Keep your abs pulled in, head up, shoulders back, and try to reach your heels up as close to your bottom as possible. If you want more of a challenge, you can do this like you’re jogging (but while kicking your heels up to your butt).
